Fashion makeup credits for Regina Harris have been seen in Vogue, Elle, W, Marie Claire as well as many other magazine and book publications. She provides makeup services to a wide and diverse range of advertising clients and designers internationally.
In addition to this body of work with various models and celebrities she has designed hair and makeup for artist Matthew Barney(Cremaster Films) as well as many other artists and special museum projects such as mannequin head design for the Warhol Retrospective (Whitney Museum).
The artistfs creative work with makeup has moved into other media. One of her sculptures, g Body Pod in Poolh (DfAmelio Terras Gallery 1999) is part of a body of work which plays with shapes that seem to extend or encapsulate the human form.
A strong focus on creating beauty, in many forms, has recently led Regina into another area, which combine her visual and olfactory sensibilities: a new line of uniquely blended perfume oils, in exotic handmade metalwork bottles.
Itfs only natural that so many forms of creativity meld seamlessly for Regina Harris. g I grew up surrounded by art and music. My mother was a flamenco dancer, my aunt an opera singer. My grandparents, Greek immigrants from Turkey gave me an exotic influence especially through the music they loved,h reflects the artist.
Regina has studied sculpture, painting, fashion design, photography and dance. She also performs dance based on her training in Middle Eastern, Flamenco,Indian and Butoh styles. |
